ORIGAMI
Avijit stumbled across the ancient art of Japanese paper folding during his college days at St Xaviers College, while searching through art books at the library. Coincidentally, the librarian, Prakash Vagde, turned out to be an expert in this art form and he inspired Avijit to delve into this fascinating subject.

Under the guidance of Prakash, Avijit studied Origami for two years and reached a stage where he could create extremely complex paper structures. He has kept this as a private hobby and from time to time he still indulges in reading up on this subject.

About Origami: Origami is the art of paper-folding. Its name derives from Japanese words ori (“folding”) and kami (“paper”). Traditional origami consists of folding a single sheet of square paper (often with a colored side) into a sculpture without cutting, gluing, taping, or even marking it.
